My little girl has been having trouble seeing things for a while now. Barking at almost everything ; me , Marck , dry leaves , the wall. So yesterday I took her to the Downtown Animal Care Center a great low-cost vet clinic next door to MaxFund , a no-kill animal shelter that does fantastic work placing animals in loving homes ( please donate if you are able ) .
DACC takes walk-ins so we arrived about 1030 only to find that they were busy until noon. So a little shopping & a nice walk around Cheesman Park , and then back for our appointment. Poor little girl. Come to find out that her eyes are not producing tears & her corneas are all dried out. Doc said it's like she's looking through a dirty window with venetian blinds. That'd make me bark at everything too.
We got one set of eye drops ( twice a day ) & are suppose to get another prescription and hopefully that will alleviate most of the problems. It probably won't totally reverse it , but he says that it will get better for her. She's is so cute when i put the drops in. No fuss or squirming , just squinting real hard so I can't get here eye open. But we manage ....
